If there's a shred of truth in this dramatic comedy set in a modern high school, then education has reached a new low point. Alex (Nick Nolte) is a 15-year veteran of the educational wars, teaching at John Fitzgerald Kennedy High School. The wimpy principal of the school is Horn (William Schallert), and Roger (Judd Hirsch) is the school's vice principal, a man dedicated to protecting the school's reputation, a martinet and a very tough cookie.
