Outside of the Weissmuller films, this Scott entry is, as the title claims, the greatest adventure in the series. Filmed on location in Africa and London, this tale has a group of five diamond scavengers heading up African rivers and making life tough for Scott. Before they can do anything with their fortune, all five (including Quayle and Connery) meet untimely demises. One of the more adult-oriented "Tarzan" films, this was directed by John Guillermin, who would return to the jungle in 1976 to helm KING KONG. leave a comment
