Tarantula: Review

The surprising success of Them! brought on many other rampant-giant- insect films in the following years, and this is one of best. Scientist John Agar has been testing nutrients on the titular creature, but it isn't until it escapes and heads into the desert that they take full effect. The tarantula grows and grows, and it's taste for flies soon switches to cattle and — inevitably — people. Look for a young Clint Eastwood in the bit part of a pilot.
