Tanya's Island

A fantasy with a twist, which bombed at the box office. A Beauty-and-the-Beast theme about Tanya (pop star-actress Vanity, going under the name "D.D. Winters"), who lives with an abusive artist named Lobo (Richard Sargent). His work gets her dreaming about living on an island where he is still violent but where she runs along the beach naked and happy. On the beach she makes friends with an ape that has blue eyes. Lobo objects to the friendship and locks up her new buddy. The ape escapes, and Tanya takes its place in the cage. Lobo and the ape continue their charade until Tanya snaps out of her dream. The movie almost gets humorous, when the man and the ape imitate...
