All superlatives are pulled out by the narrator of this one as he expounds on the efforts of the Third Armored Division against the Germans in 1944. Cochran is a rough-and-tumble guy leading his boys into battle after their master sergeant is killed. Lieutenant Carey was supposed to be in charge, but Cochran is a man's man and the real leader.
