Gardel was a big draw for films in Spain and South America, and this was his last screen effort before he died in a plane crash just a few weeks after the film was made. When he isn't singing, the plot wears awfully thin. He plays a guy in love with a pretty dancer, Moreno, who is running with some bad apples.
