A WW II film for which the word "bomb" is most appropriate. Even the glamor added by notables such as Robinson couldn't defuse it. Robinson, the skipper of an oil tanker, picks up survivors, including Bari, whose ship has been sunk by torpedoes in the Gulf of Mexico. As Robinson and Bari engage in a feisty romance, his boat sinks, and she is the prime suspect because no one knows who she really is. In trying to prove her innocence, Robinson discovers that his trustworthy first mate, who didn't want to pick up the survivors, is really a German spy. The highlight is the scenery of Tampico, Mexico. leave a comment
