A rich lady is in the hospital, and her naive backwoods companion, Dee, gets a nurse's aide job to take care of her. Her lack of knowledge gets her into trouble with the nurses, but she has a winning way with people. Even tough head nurse Lindsay likes her, while Fonda takes a special liking to her.
