Writer-director George Esguerra knows a good conceit when he sees one, and we've all seen this one a few times before: Two ultramodern city-dwellers find anonymous pillow talk via a phone-sex party line a lot easier to handle than the real thing. Betty (Cheryl Clifford) is fed up with the pressures of blind-dating: She never knows what to say and is tired of being judged before her prospective Romeo can get to know the real her.
