Tales Of The Uncanny: Review

Wegener played the mad scientist part in a few German silent films and now gets his chance to play one again in this early sound film. This time he wipes out his wife and is sent to an asylum. There he takes control over the other patients and forms a suicide club. TALES OF THE UNCANNY opened up a whole new path for the Expressionist genre and inspired two more films about the same subject in the next two years. This film is often mistaken for a film done in 1919. leave a comment
