Tales From The Hood: Review

A black-oriented horror anthology directed by Rusty Cundieff (FEAR OF A BLACK HAT), TALES FROM THE HOOD is often irritatingly didactic, like Rod Serling at his smarmiest. But it's nice to see a vigorous black cast enjoying a chance to do something pulpy and extravagant instead of another well-meaning ghetto soap. Clarence Williams III ("The Mod Squad") plays the equivalent of HBO's Crypt Keeper. leave a comment
