Hays plays a young executive assigned to shape up a brewery his large corporation has just acquired. The company is located in the Iowa town in which Hays was brought up, and he faces a crisis of conscience when forced to do his employer's bidding. The film focuses on the problems of the blue-collar worker, offering more than just laughter. It was based on the song sung by Johnny Paycheck and written by country singer-writer, Coe.
