Ten-year-old Orville Ryan (Grant Navin) is a Sydney youngster with a passion for old airplanes. The neighborhood gang won't let him join in when they fly their model airplanes, so he hangs around with cantankerous old Harry (Gordon Poole), who is restoring an ancient DeHavilland Tiger
Moth in an abandoned warehouse. The ghosts of three pilots turn up at times to encourage the pair, and they even help fight off a gang of ruffians who want to wreck the biplane. When the restoration is complete, the duo fly above Sydney in an exhilarating sequence. This is a good children's story
that adults will enjoy, too.
