Cortez plays a young Jewish surgeon who takes his blade to his father, Ratoff, to remove a tumor but fails under the pressure, leaving his father dead. Reluctant to go to the operating table again, Cortez is forced back into surgery when his girl friend persuades him to operate on her. But
