William Wellman, Jr., the son of the famous director, costars with James Stacy and Quinn O'Hara in this innocent feature in which three teens attempt to make money by starting up a dance pavilion at a lake resort. Cindy (O'Hara) goes behind the back of her boy friend (Wellman) to get her father's help in funding the project. This leads to an argument between Cindy and her proud beau, but everything is smoothed over to leave only one remaining obstacle: local lifeguard Turk (Martin West), who wants Cindy for himself and tries to wreck the dance hall. The Righteous Brothers and Gary Lewis and the Playboys are among the musical talents featured in this film, which was also Raquel Welch's undistinguished screen debut. Songs include: "Red Hot Roadster," "Justine," "Penny the Poo," "Out to Lunch," "Nitro," and "Ready to Groove." leave a comment
