Lowell Blackford (Kay Kyser), a young composer with a talent for hypnotizing people, is tricked by former singer Ginger Gray (Marilyn Maxwell) into using this skill on a boxer in order to fix a fight. The eclectic cast includes former pro wrestler Mike Mazurki, former boxer Maxie Rosembloom, comics Ish Kabibble and Mantan Moreland, Ava Gardner, Lena Horne, and Merriel Abbott and Her Abbott Dancers. Definitely not one of the finer MGM musicals. leave a comment
