Hughes plays a marine who falls in love with an innocent young White while on leave in New York City. After a cruise, he comes back to find that a shiftless millionaire has taken to his girl and asked for her hand in marriage. Thinking practically instead of passionately, White accepts the millionaire's offer, only to discover that he's already wed to another. Hughes and his pals are quick to see that justice is done.
