Jillian Grey (Nancy Allen) is a TV reporter investigating a series of mysterious disappearances of beautiful young women from the streets of Los Angeles. However, she falls victim to the same fate, being kidnaped (along with three others) and taken to the Far East to be sold by a white slavery operation headed by Cicero (Martin Landau). The women team with Boone (Ted Shackelford), a counterfeit perfume smuggler, to undermine Cicero's sordid operation. With Roger Corman as executive producer, this is a serviceable action-adventure movie with an excellent cast (for this sort of thing). Allen is surprisingly tough, and Shackelford is virtually a revelation as the relaxed, wisecracking scent runner. Landau has long been a master of suave villainy. leave a comment
