Diverting fluff in the tradition of Hollywood's screwball comedies of remarriage. It may lack the wit or grace of, say, The Awful Truth, but it's rescued by the charming Reese Witherspoon. She plays a hot young fashion designer who must choose between New York City's most eligible bachelor (Patrick Dempsey), and the high-school sweetheart (Josh Lucas) she married, then left behind, in Pigeon Creek, Alabama.
