Swamp Fire

The two great Olympic swimming stars-turned-movie-heroes meet on the silver screen and prove the pool isn't the only place where they can share a rivalry. Weissmuller is a war-shocked Navy veteran who now runs a boat at the mouth of the Mississippi River. He's got a little romance going with Thurston but is challenged for her love by nasty trapper Crabbe. The two fight it out both on land and in the alligator-filled swamp until good inevitably triumphs over evil. Ineptly made with an undersized performance by Weissmuller, this routine story saves itself by throwing in action at every possible moment.
