Surrender

In a small town near the Mexican border, Ralston is a wanted woman. To escape the law she marries Ching, an important newspaperman. Ching is also the best friend of Carroll, owner of the local gambling hall. Carroll can see through Ralston's charade and keeps a close eye on her. When Ralston's other husband, Lederer, shows up and claims bigamy, she kills him. Evidence points to Ching, but Ching believes Carroll did the killing to protect his marriage. Ralston confesses and tries to escape across the border with Carroll, but the two are shot by sheriff Brennan. Despite some fairly corny dialog, SURRENDER isn't a bad little film. Dwan's direction moves the story well...
