Sunset Pass

This third version of the Zane Grey novel is a simple, straightforward B western. Warren plays the frontier lawman who, with the assistance of sidekick Laurenz, tries to stop a group of train robbers who work along the Arizona border. Complications arise when love interest Leslie's younger brother proves to be one of the gang. The film boasts good direction, but the leads' less than dynamic characterizations result in a typical programmer.
