Hard-bitten cattle rancher Middleton wants his daughter, Dix, to be just as tough and driven as he is. Jones, King, and Corbett (forming one of the earliest trios in western movie history), help her out when they discover the ranch foreman is a rustler. There are some nice
characterizations, not normally found in program westerns, as well as some good gunplay, making this a better-than-average series entry for Jones. Also, Jones' attempt at a more mature approach to his films results in a more realistic view of the West than his previous work offered.
