Simplistic remake of the 1930 feature stars Neagle as the main attraction in a circus performing in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. She meets and falls in love with the wealthy Carroll, a romance his snobbish parents try to derail. Little was done to enliven this tired story, but Bolger's
dancing and the Jerome Kern score are a treat. The film earned an Oscar nomination for Best Score. Songs (with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II) include: "Sunny," "Two Little Bluebirds," "D'ya Love Me?" and "Who?"
