Sunday, Bloody Sunday

1971, Movie, R, 110 mins

starstarstarstar
A strong drama about a menage a trois among homosexual Peter Finch, heterosexual Glenda Jackson, and bisexual Murray Head, who alternates between the other two. The gay theme is never tawdry, and neither Finch nor Head ever seen to mince or lisp according to the usual Hollywood stereotypes of the era. In that respect it's a real breakthrough: The film deals with affection and honest love and doesn't go for any cheap exploitation. Read the complete review for Sunday, Bloody Sunday
