A forced farce in which Colleano, a drunken American soldier, and Allan, a suave Frenchman, vie for White. The problem is that she is already engaged to Howard, a British sailor who also happens to be a wealthy earl. Matters are complicated because Colleano puts the moves on White when he meets her in Howard's apartment.
