Well-made but routine British programmer features Carminati as an Italian soldier who brings Palmer home as his Austrian bride. Soon war breaks out between the two countries, and Palmer's brother enters Italy as a spy. He hides out with Palmer, but Carminati, loyal to his country, shoots his brother-in-law.
