This intriguing melodrama has Hogan getting violently upset when his wife will not help him buy some land that he hopes will pull him out of a financial bind. The final blow between the two comes while on a drive through northern Ontario. Hogan loses control of the car and crashes, but he
just leaves his injured wife behind and takes off. Hennessy, a concerned stranger, happens along and finds himself offering more help than he had planned. Though the plot is rather simple, the filmmakers and actors take full advantage of the backwoods setting and heighten the suspense. McCauley
provides an excellent soundtrack to enhance the plot.
