In this age of Internet news and blogs, it's easier than ever for average boob-tubers to follow the ups and downs of these situations [especially on TVGuide.com's Strike Watch blog], something I'm sure the writers and producers are keenly aware of. So, with negotiations having resumed this week, I can't help but wonder if they're feeling additional pressure to come to an agreement. Many more eyes are going to be watching these proceedings than was the case during the last strike. And since disaffected viewers can easily stray to other forms of entertainment, arguably the only thing worse than not negotiating at all is getting viewers' hopes up only to subsequently dash them.
