MacMahon is a San Francisco businesswoman who meets Kelly, a derelict sailor. She gives him a job in her shop and finally ends up marrying him. But their lives are disrupted when women from Kelly's past stop by the shop, one of whom brings along a child he fathered. MacMahon and Kelly
adopt the kid and also have one of their own. If that's not enough, MacMahon's sister wants to run off with Kelly, but--redeemed by fatherhood--he decides to stay with his wife. Turgid little soaper with a poor script that was short in the believability department. The acting is all right,
considering what the actors have to deal with.
