Down Our Street

Williams, a slum dweller drifting into a life of crime, reforms out of love for Price and becomes a cab driver. Price's uncle frames him for a smash-and-grab job and he faces jail, except for the good work of Price's mother, who swings to his side and saves the day. Depression-era realism helps make for an effective story.
