A story about revenge stars Bickford as a man just leaving prison after five years in the pen. His vengeance is aimed at Carey, a newspaper editor whose efforts against Bickford and organized crime resulted in Bickford's conviction. Bickford leaves prison bent on getting even with Carey, but when he finally meets Carey face to face, he changes his mind about killing him. Bickford decides to destroy the newspaper instead.
