Blessed with strong characterization, STRANGER AT MY DOOR tells the tale of a western preacher, Carey, who teaches outlaw Homeier the ways of the Lord. Homeier comes to Carey's farm, a fugitive looking for a hideaway, but soon finds that he is learning a set of morals and showing kindness to Carey's wife, Medina, and son, Wootton.
