1946, Movie, NR, 68 mins

A convoluted tale about a chemist, Marshall, who plans to try out her newly invented anesthesia on herself with the help of her assistant Brooke. She is injected with the drug and her life becomes a nightmare. Her fiance, Gargan, runs off, she is blackmailed, and a devastating explosion mutilates her face. But it's only a dream induced by the anesthesia. Director Anthony Mann has some fun with Marshall's dream, but the picture never quite satisfies. leave a comment
