Strange Illusion

Lydon stars as a suspicious young man who believes that his mother, Eilers, is responsible his father's death when she decides to remarry soon after. Lydon's plan is to trick his mother and future stepfather into believing he is insane, with the hopes of catching them off-guard. He is committed to an asylum where he nearly does go insane but gets out in time to prove that his mother's lover was the killer. Slow-moving and unbelievable, but a gruesome film noir atmosphere makes up for it.
