An obvious piece of American propaganda produced in 1942 as a morale booster for the workers of General Motors. The project was shelved until Arch Oboler sold it to Metro where it was shelved again. Not until Oboler and Rains bought it back in 1945 was it released, though independently.
The story plays on the emotions of the day with Rains starring as a businessman who returns from a long hunting trip to find that the US government and the Constitution have been thrown out the window by fascists. An interesting picture which lost much of its momentum by being released when the
victorious soldiers were coming home.
