Stranded

A simple but sophisticated science-fiction film set during one evening in a remote North Carolina farmhouse, STRANDED deals with 17-year-old Deirdre Clark (Ione Skye), who has been living under somewhat strained conditions with her grandmother, Grace (Maureen O'Sullivan). Their relationship changes when they are visited by five aliens on the run from an assassin. Unlike so many other sci-fi and fantasy films, this is a believable human drama set within the framework of the fantastic. The focus is not on the aliens but on the humans they affect.
