Slim story, but who cares: The film is jam-packed with an amazing array of some of the 20th century's greatest black musical stars. Bill Robinson stars as a veteran entertainer who looks back on a career which, luckily for us, was a series of priceless musical moments featuring Cab Calloway, Fats Waller, Mae Johnson, The Nicholas Brothers, Babe Wallace, Ada Brown and, of course, the forever lovely Lena Horne.
