Taking place mostly in a ritzy Portuguese cafe-gambling den, this average programmer is given life by the performance of von Stroheim as the club's unscrupulous owner. He runs up against Arlen and Ralston when he tries to sell the former's secrets to enemy spies, a common pastime for von Stroheim. Unfortunately, the picture isn't helped by Ralston's weak performance. The former ice skater turned actress proved she was better on the ice than on the set. leave a comment
