Storm At Daybreak

A weak love triangle which relies on the traditional conflict between Serbs and Hungarians for some added life. The film opens with a recreation of the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand at Sarajevo and moves on to a friendship between Huston, a Serbian mayor, and his best friend, Asther, a Hungarian officer. When the latter steals Huston's wife, conflicts arise, but in the end the jilted husband sacrifices his life for the pair. Overlong even at 68 minutes, with not nearly enough plot to pass the time.
