The Last Stop

This grim film focuses on the lives of the women inmates of Auschwitz. Shot on location, THE LAST STOP re-creates the horror of Nazi concentration camps with startling accuracy, focusing on one woman's efforts to survive and her eventual rescue. The results are not easy to watch, but THE LAST STOP is an important work, unsparing in its treatment of humankind's capacity for atrocity. Made only a few years after WWII's end, its creators were themselves women who survived Auschwitz.
