A lively gangster musical which has Raft as an ex-con who joins up with Bernie's swing band by blowing a mean saxophone. During a cross-country tour, Raft is approached by an old buddy who tries to lure the musician back into crime. Raft refuses, but the heist is pulled off without him and he receives the blame.
