A lively gangster musical which has Raft as an ex-con who joins up with Bernie's swing band by blowing a mean saxophone. During a cross-country tour, Raft is approached by an old buddy who tries to lure the musician back into crime. Raft refuses, but the heist is pulled off without him
and he receives the blame. He clears his name when the band is kidnapped by Nolan, who longs for a private concert. Raft informs on Nolan, saves the band from an unscheduled performance, and regains his seat in the band. Includes the songs: "Would There Be Love," "Let's Spill the Beans," "I Never
Had a Man to Cry Over," and "Fagin Youse is a Viper" (Mack Gordon, Harry Revel).
