Stir: Review
This hard-edged prison drama, which follows Bryan Brown and his role in a violent prison riot, illustrates the intense differences between life on opposite sides of the bars. The supporting cast is excellent, with many of the minor players having a prison background. Shot in a vacated Australian prison, the photography contributes to the atmospheric harshness, as does the script, penned by ex-con Bob Jewson.
