Stick

Burt Reynolds should have had a stick taken to him when he agreed to direct and star in this adaptation of the Elmore Leonard best-seller. Stick (Reynolds) is coming back to Florida after having spent seven years in a Michigan jail for armed robbery. He arrives in Miami, and Rainy (Jose Perez), an old pal, is immediately killed, thus giving Stick his motivation for the rest of the movie--revenge. His investigation gets him involved in a few minor drug deals as he tries to gain the confidence of the minor bad guys so he can find out who the big cheese is.
