A post-nuclear holocaust variation on SHANE featuring DIRTY DANCING star Swayze as a sword-wielding martial-arts expert known as "Nomad" who wanders the desert wasteland chopping up various mutant-types. Hired by the town of Meridian to be their "Peacemaker," Swayze finds himself in the midst of a water-rights battle between wealthy landowner Zerbe and spunky widow Niemi (Mrs. Swayze in real life). Conveniently, Zerbe is the very man responsible for the murder of Swayze's mentor, Fujioka. Though the action is competently staged, there's little else in this film to hold one's attention. leave a comment
