Staying Alive

Ill-conceived, pathetically realized follow-up to SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. Six years after Tony Manero (John Travolta) shed his dancin' shoes and left Brooklyn in the previous film, he's re-emerged on Broadway with a minor role in "Satan's Alley," an extravagant musical starring haughty Brit Laura (Finola Hughes). The sexual tension and animosity between Tony and Laura heat up when he's given the costarring role; meanwhile, his true love (Cynthia Rhodes) remains loyal to him.
