This forerunner of the teenage slasher pictures of the late 1970s and 1980s has some substance beyond the usual sexual titilation and chiller aspects. Agutter is a 14-year-old English Midlands girl with a crush on Marshall, the 32-year-old brother in the family into which she has been adopted. Her crush never falters, even when the bizarre sex murders that have been plaguing the countryside all point to Marshall as the culprit. A trek to the woods by Agutter and her girl friend, who constantly tries to make off as being a real sexpot, makes them ample prey for the fiendish killer.
