Starlift

This patriotic salute to the boys who went off to Korea in 1951 is essentially an excuse to parade Warner Brothers' stars across the screen. Rick Williams and Mike Nolan (Ron Hagerthy and Dick Wesson) are soldiers who pretend that they are about to go into combat, in order to impress Nell Wayne (Janice Rule), a starlet who is visiting the troops at San Francisco's Travis Air Force base with Doris Day and Gordon MacRae (playing themselves). Rick and Nell fall in love, but the relationship crumbles when she discovers that her "hero" and his friend are merely crew members on the route between the US and Honolulu.
