Far-fetched story has Hull inheriting a newspaper when his father is murdered by notorious hoods. Hull uses the newspaper to wage war against the criminal element and avenge the death of his father. But the plot gets out of hand when Hull discovers that one of the men responsible for his
father's murder is actually his real
father. This man suddenly turns honest and provides all the evidence needed to clean up the town. Parallel pacing of various plot elements works well in moving the tale along, but this is not enough to overcome the characters' lack of resemblance to real human
beings, not to mention the implausibility of the story itself.
