Star For A Night

Touching story, with Darwell as a blind woman living in Europe and believing that her three children have all been pursuing successful careers in America. In reality they have all been pulling the wool over their mother's eyes, exaggerating their menial jobs to make it appear as though they are really hotshots. When Darwell decides to come to the US for an operation that will cure her blindness, the three offspring must think quickly about how to explain their true predicament. But this isn't necessary; the understanding Darwell is fully aware of her children's purpose. A bit heavy on the sentiment, but a well-meaning and entertaining project.
